The pictures were taken over the course of three days.

It’s hard to pick a favorite act.  It’s amazing to watch how Little Freddy King can still move like a thirty year old.  Trombone Shorty has amazing energy and charisma, and Bonerama is just plain fun.  But the artist who really blew me away was Nayo Jones.  She came up on stage with Kermit Ruffins and sang a rendition of “At Last” that would have made Etta James sit up and stare.

French Quarter Fest is the largest free music festival in the south.  It was founded in 1983, and primarily features Jazz, Blues, and other staples of the New Orleans music scene.  In 2011, there was an estimated attendance of 533,000 people.
